Responsible community
No place for exploitation.
Creative opportunity must never depend on coercion, trafficking, forced labour or disguised unpaid commercial work.

About this statement
In The Loop is a small, founder-run community operated by Leah Burrows. It does not meet the £36 million turnover threshold that requires certain organisations to publish an annual statement under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. This is a voluntary statement of the standards we apply to the platform.
Our service and suppliers
In The Loop provides an online community, profiles, listings, conversations and introductions. It does not employ members, inspect workplaces, process member-to-member payments or become a party to agreements made between members. Its direct supply chain is limited mainly to website hosting, data storage, email and software services.
Our commitments
- We do not knowingly permit content that promotes trafficking, slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, child exploitation or coercive recruitment.
- Commercial work must not be disguised as volunteering, a community collaboration or a one-sided skill swap.
- Opportunities should explain the arrangement honestly, including payment, expenses, deliverables and rights where relevant.
- We provide reporting and complaints routes and may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts or preserve and disclose information where law requires it.
- We consider responsible practice when selecting important service providers and review concerns brought to our attention. This statement is not a certification of every provider's supply chain.
What members should do
Do not accept an arrangement involving threats, withheld identity documents, recruitment fees, pressure to work against your will or control over where you live or travel. Keep important work terms in writing and check who you are dealing with. Read our fair-opportunity rules and safety guidance.
Raise a concern
Use the Report link beside relevant content or contact us. If somebody is in immediate danger, call 999. Concerns can also be reported to the UK Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline on 08000 121 700 or through modernslaveryhelpline.org.
Responsibility and review
Leah Burrows, as founder and operator, is responsible for this commitment. We review it at least annually and when the service, its suppliers or its risks materially change.
